LAUS ABDO is Founder and CEO of AGP Capital. AGP Capital is a direct commercial mortgage lender. He is directly involved in originations, underwriting and portfolio management. He has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience having been involved in numerous transactions. Laus began his career with positions at major wall street firms, and then set up AGP Capital which focused on financing gaming properties. He later turned his attention to commercial real estate development and joined a commercial real estate development firm as an Executive Vice-President, where he was responsible for the entire life cycle of the project, including land acquisition, entitlement, feasibility studies, pre-development, construction budgets, financing, leasing, and dispositions. During the Great Recession, Laus acquired non-performing loans and assisted borrowers with restructuring their distressed debt. During this time, he also partnered with a New York based hedge fund to acquire, recapitalize, and eventually the sale of a community bank to a larger regional bank. Following the sale of the bank, he entered commercial real estate mortgage brokerage. In 2016, Laus co-founded a commercial mortgage debt fund in partnership with a commercial real estate family office. Laus bought his partners out of the Fund Management Company in May 2021.

In addition to AGP Capital, Laus currently serves on the Board of CDF Capital, a $650 million specialty lender to churches. Laus is married with two grown children, is an avid tennis player and enjoys spending time with the family skiing, fly fishing and boating in the Lake Tahoe area.
